Terms and Conditions

Yugen Ink Tattoo – London

These Terms and Conditions apply to all tattoo services, flash reservations, merchandise sales and website use provided by Yugen Ink Tattoo (“the Artist”) to you (“the Client”). By booking an appointment, reserving a flash design, purchasing merchandise or using this website, you agree to the terms below.

1. General

Yugen Ink Tattoo operates from The Circle London studio.

By booking an appointment, purchasing through the website or attending the studio, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under English law.

2. Age Requirement

All clients must be at least 18 years old.

Valid government-issued photographic ID may be required. No exceptions will be made.

3. Health and Medical Disclosure

You must inform the Artist of any medical conditions, allergies, skin conditions, medications, pregnancy or any other relevant health information prior to being tattooed.

The Artist reserves the right to refuse or postpone a tattoo if it is considered unsafe or inappropriate for health reasons.

4. Consultations

Consultations may be offered to discuss design, placement, size and estimated pricing.

Estimates are not final quotes and may vary depending on final design decisions, skin condition and time required on the day.

5. Flash Reservations (Website Purchases)

Flash designs listed on the website are offered as one-off pieces unless otherwise stated.

The £50 payment made at checkout is a non-refundable reservation fee.
This reservation secures the selected design exclusively for you.
Once reserved, the design will not be offered to another client.
After purchase, you will be contacted by email to arrange your appointment.
The remaining balance for the tattoo is payable in studio on the day of your appointment.

As the reservation secures a personalised creative service, it is not refundable.

6. Appointment Deposits (Custom Work)

A deposit is required to secure all tattoo appointments.

Deposits are non-refundable.
Deposits secure your appointment time and preparation work.
Deposits are deducted from the final cost of your tattoo.

7. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Appointments may be rescheduled once with at least 48 hours’ notice.

Cancellations or reschedules made with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in loss of deposit.
No-shows are treated as late cancellations.
Multiple reschedules may require a new deposit.

Deposits are non-transferable to another person.

8. Payments

The remaining balance for your tattoo is due on the day of your appointment.

Accepted payment methods will be confirmed in advance.

Failure to pay the remaining balance may result in refusal of service.

9. Design Process

Designs are prepared based on information provided by the Client.

Final designs may be presented on or before the day of the appointment.

Minor adjustments can be made where appropriate. Significant changes on the day may require rescheduling and a new deposit.

10. Copyright and Design Ownership

All tattoo designs created by the Artist remain the intellectual property of Yugen Ink Tattoo.

Clients may not reproduce, distribute, alter or commercially use any design without written permission.

The Artist reserves the right to photograph and share completed tattoos for portfolio, website and promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing before the appointment.

11. Completion of Work

Estimated session times are approximate.

If additional time is required to complete the tattoo, an additional session may be scheduled and charged at the agreed hourly rate.

If a Client chooses not to complete a tattoo, no refunds will be provided for work already completed.

12. Touch-Ups

One complimentary touch-up may be offered within three months of completion, subject to:

Proper aftercare being followed
The tattoo being fully healed
Reasonable fading

Touch-ups outside this period or resulting from poor aftercare may incur a fee.

13. Aftercare and Healing

Aftercare instructions will be provided verbally and/or in writing.

It is the Client’s responsibility to follow these instructions.

The Artist is not responsible for complications arising from failure to follow aftercare advice, undisclosed medical conditions, or external factors beyond reasonable control.

Healing results vary between individuals.

14. Cover-Up Work

While every effort will be made to achieve the desired cover-up result, full concealment of an existing tattoo cannot be guaranteed.

Final design decisions rest with the Client, but the Artist reserves the right to decline designs considered unsuitable for effective coverage.

15. Merchandise

Where physical merchandise is sold through the website:

Items will be described as accurately as possible.
You have the right to cancel eligible merchandise purchases within 14 days under UK consumer law, unless the item is personalised or made-to-order.
Returned items must be unused and in original condition.

This does not apply to tattoo deposits or flash reservations.

16. Liability

The Artist will provide services with reasonable care and skill in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

To the extent permitted by law, liability for other losses shall be limited to the amount paid for the relevant service.

17. Website Use

All website content, including images and artwork, remains the property of Yugen Ink Tattoo.

Content may not be copied or used without permission.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
